John received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Purdue University and worked as an RN for over thirteen years.  During that time, he worked in various clinical settings, including critical care, intermediate care, long-term care, and rehabilitation.  He then returned to school and  obtained his Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from South College.   John has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care since 2023 and joined Internal Medicine Associates in 2024.
